Adaptation of the third novel of Natsuhiko Kyogoku's "Kyougokudou Series."

In 1950s Tokyo, only the Rose Cross Detective Agency can tackle the cases that the police won't touch. Enokizu is an eccentric private eye with psychic abilities, and Chuuzenji is a surly used book store owner with an encylopaedic knowledge of obscure trivia. Together with their associates, they seek justice for the victims.

Stand-alone side story to the Kyougokudou series, beginning with Ubume no Natsu.

The story follows a series of bizarre murders of schoolgirls who have been dismembered and stuffed into boxes. The private investigator hired by a missing daughter's mother joins forces with an antique book seller and others to unravel the murder spree.
